APX and Agent Project Context (APC) · Last updated October 22, 2026

APX is an open-source desktop app that runs AI agents on your own computer. APC is the open convention (AGENTS.md and .apc/) it implements. This policy explains what data APX handles and where it goes. The short version: APX runs on your machine, keeps your data there, and has no servers that receive your content.

Where your data lives

Your agents, chats, memory, files and settings are stored on the computer where you run APX. Passwords, keys and access tokens go to that computer's secret store (the system keychain where there is one). APX's authors do not run a service that receives them.

Google user data

You can connect your Google account to APX so your agents can work with Google Calendar, Gmail and Google Drive. Each part is connected on its own, and only after you approve it on Google's own consent page. With APX's sign-in, APX asks for:

How this data is used:

APX's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Removing access and deleting data

Disconnect a Google part in APX (Resources › Integrations) to delete its stored token from your computer. You can also revoke APX's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Everything else APX stores is in its folder on your computer; uninstalling APX and deleting that folder removes it.

Usage numbers

Only if you say yes, APX sends anonymous usage numbers (for example the app version and how many agents you run) so its authors can see how it is used. They never include your content, your messages, your files or any Google data. You can turn them off in APX at any time.
